· Commercialization (12ÇÐÁ¡) The Commercialization Area of Concentration (track) emphasizes innovation, technology commercialization and entrepreneurship to prepare graduates to assume leadership roles in emerging business organizations. The cornerstone of the Commercialization track is the Integrated Business Project (IBP) that serves as the primary tool to integrate the curriculum across functional courses throughout the program and requires students to learn practical business tools by creating and delivering research-driven business plans that focus on the commercialization of new technologies. Most of these technologies come from the OSU Office of Commercialization and Corporate Development or industry partners (ONAMI, OSHU, Hewlett Packard, Boeing, etc.). The IBP represents the prime distinguishing feature of the Commercialization MBA program at Oregon State University.
· Clean Technology (15ÇÐÁ¡) : The Clean Technology Area of Concentration (track) within the OSU MBA program prepares students with a theoretical knowledge of business, entrepreneurship, innovation, commercialization processes, and environmental economics that enables them to develop a business proposal for a selected clean technology project. Executive Leadership (18ÇÐÁ¡) : The Executive Leadership track, within the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, is designed to serve leaders and professionals from any industry. The program will be delivered as an online/hybrid program in partnership with OSU campus. The number of face-to-face sessions required for each individual course will depend on the courses learning objectives. Face-to-face sessions will initially be delivered in the OHSU/OSU College of Pharmacy facility in Portland.
Thesis (14ÇÐÁ¡): Oregon State is a research institution and one of only two universities nationwide to be designated as a Land, Sea, Space, and Sun Grant institution. This research-rich environment presents nearly unlimited opportunities to identify value from faculty research. This two-year option is meant to offer MBA students and College of Business faculty with mutual research interests an opportunity to engage in research as part of the students¡¯ program. It closely follows the regular MBA program, but offers an alternative set of credits to replace the Integrated Business Project (IBP) component.
